Long time, no blog

Howdy folks!

As the title suggests, it's been a while. Liam and I are currently still editing Staggerov. i won't lie, it's taking a long time, which in a way makes it more tricky...I'm used to short editing periods, as in, a day or so. Ah well, we shall persevere.

Anyway, do keep checking, we will try and be a bit more frequent with the blogs.

Me again, just to let you know we're still editing. We've fiddled about with the sound and are currently messing around on After Effects to make our sleeping Staggerov. It's all coming along.

We've also been doing pieces and bits on Emily, Liam's started a script, and we've roughly plotted out the first series.

Anyway, best be off, there are eyes that need attention at the minute.

Editing again...

We've finally started editing, having broken the media suite several times over...sorry to Glen and Ant for that...

Anyway, provided we haven't broken it again (slight audio malfunction currently occurring....gah) we'll finish in the next few weeks. We've also started sorting out music, so that should also be happening. Thank you to Isaac Myers for that.

What else? Ermm...oh! We've started writing bits of Emily, so that will also be ongoing. If we were sensible we'd get Staggerov out of the way first, but ho hum.

Staggerov and Whitley, thats a no then...

hi everyone,

unfortunatly, after contacting Universal UK about the rights to use "More Than Life" by Whitley, and then discovering how much the fees will cost, both Katie and myself have agreed we cannot justify £150 for a minutes usage. So once editing the footage is complete, we intend to find someone to aid us write music. I sure katie has ideas of people, as do I but we'll keep you updated with this as it goes.

This blog is starting to become like an extended Twitter account...hmm...

Anyway, Liam and I are in the process of editing as I type. At the moment we're transferring the footage, and after that comes the fun. Unfortunately we haven't heard back from Whitely's people yet, but hopefully we will do in the near future.

Staggerov:editing

hi everyone,

with the start of college next week (oh joy), Katie and myself shall begin the editing process for 'Staggerov'. This is likely to take us a few weeks but it will be worth it once the film is complete. As for where we go from there, well, we are waiting to hear back from 'Dew Process' records about the rights to a song we wish to use for the closing credits, which we are hoping won't take too long ready for our completed application in febuary for the Cannes Film Festival 2010.

Staggerov: filming (part2) and 'Emily' Scripts

Hello beautiful people of the world!

We finished the filming of 'Staggerov' today. So, editing will begin A.S.A.P in time for Cannes. Meaningwhile we shall start to write the scripts for 'Emily', 13 episodes ready for this time next year! not a huge amount of news, I know but hey, it's news all the same.

So finally we would just like so say a huge thank you to Rob and Kyle Bryant, who did an outstanding job on their performances, and truely helped bring the characters to life.

As well as our actors, thanks also go to CineWessex (based here in Winchester), in particular Joe Conlan, for their help with booking the camera and tripod for the film. We certainly couldn't have done it without you all.

Staggerov: filming

Hi everyone,

today we have been filming the footage we needed for 'Staggerov'. Filming is being wrapped up as I type and editing shall start as soon as we get back to college. In related news, we have considered all our options for which film festival to enter, and after watching a very odd film about a race with a one-eyed cat which was shown last year, we have decided to enter the famous Cannes film festival (short section of course). We'll keep you posted on this as we go.

Cameraness

Liam and I went and picked up the camera today (amongst other things). It's currently sitting in my spare room.

I like it. It's big and really heavy, but I like it. And it can do HD. I like it a lot.

So I get tomorrow to play with it, and then we film on Sunday. No doubt one of us (or possibly both) will let you know how that goes.

What other things did we do today? Well, we wrote a script, checked out locations, chatted about Emily and took a well deserved break. Pokemon was played. Serious stuff peeps.

Oh we also decided "Homeward Bound" was no longer a suitable name, so we've provisionally re-entitled the short film "Staggerov". All will soon become clear I hope.

Good Evening

Well well, Liam has been busy in my absence. I ran away to Spain for a couple of weeks at the most inopportune time possible, so this is me hello and apology.

Seems like Liam's already done most of the ground work, so I'll just tell you that I've started collecting beer bottles and am dead excited about this weekend.
